Cancer support, education, and hope

Celebrating our 25th anniversary in 2007, The Wellness Community (TWC) is an international non-profit organization dedicated to providing education and resources to people affected by cancer—helping them learn vital skills that will enable them to regain control, reduce isolation, and restore hope regardless of the stage of their disease.

The Wellness Community Featured in The Wall Street Journal

On November 3, 2007, Laura Landro, reporter for WSJ’s column The Informed Patient, participated in TWC’s 25th anniversary Cancer Summit in Washington, DC, and moderated a panel discussion entitled, Cancer Survivorship: Past, Present and Future.  Since then, we have been working closely with Ms. Landro on this article that emphasizes the importance of psychosocial health care for cancer patients and their loved ones.  The article also highlights TWC’s Live Well! program, as well as our newest publication, The Total Cancer Wellness Guide.
